Badger hails from Persephone, where he has carved out a niche for himself as a fence, trafficker in all manner of illicit goods, and smuggling contact. His den of thieves is a series of interconnected shipping containers buried in the depths of the chaotic Eavesdown Docks, but he also maintains a somewhat posh townhouse on the outskirts of the Docks, where he ‘entertains’ various guests, most of whom are female and professional.
Badger’s accent marks him as a native of the somewhat infamous Dyton Colony.
Badger hired the crew of Shenmue for what he called a milk run, the simple pickup and delivery of a cargo of parts from Athens to Persephone. Naturally, the milk turned sour – a crew of professional hijackers stole the cargo right out from under the crew’s noses, infuriating Badger. The crew retrieved the missing goods, however, which mollified Badger somewhat, but unfortunately the crew’s next course of action was a shootout with some old enemies right on Badger’s home turf. Badger told the crew in no uncertain terms to get lost before he turned them over to the Feds for bringing Alliance heat down in his backyard.
It is unclear whether or not Badger will hire the crew again, but nothing buys bygones quicker than cash.
